Overview
The Audi A4 2020 is the facelifted version of Audi's executive saloon, and it remains one of the most polished cars in its class. In the UK it was sold in Technik, Sport, S line and Black Edition trims, with the 35 TDI diesel and 40 TFSI petrol forming the core of the range for most buyers.
Inside, the A4 is a model of calm efficiency. The 10.1-inch touchscreen sits neatly on the dashboard, the 12.3-inch virtual cockpit is clear and configurable, and build quality is superb. There is a 460-litre boot, comfortable front seats and enough rear space for adults, although taller passengers may find headroom a little tight.
On the road, the 35 TDI is smooth, quiet and impressively economical, with 163 PS providing relaxed motorway performance. The ride is composed, road noise is low and the A4 feels stable at speed, making it an ideal long-distance companion. For UK buyers who want a premium saloon that is refined, efficient and easy to live with, the 2020 A4 is a strong choice.
